Common consultations

Flu, cold & other respiratory illnesses

Flu, colds, sore throat, bronchitis, sinusitis and COVID-19.

Overview

Flu-like illness, common colds, sore throat, sinusitis, bronchitis and COVID-19 are among the most frequent reasons travelers seek medical help. Most are caused by viruses and resolve within a week, but proper assessment matters: some symptoms can point to bacterial infections, COVID-19 or pneumonia that benefit from specific treatment. A quick consultation gives you peace of mind and a clear plan.

Common symptoms

  • Fever, chills, sweating
  • Sore throat, cough, runny or blocked nose
  • Muscle aches, headache, fatigue
  • Sinus pressure or facial pain
  • Loss of appetite, nausea

When to seek care urgently

  • Fever above 39°C or lasting more than 3 days
  • Difficulty breathing or chest pain
  • Severe headache, neck stiffness or confusion
  • Symptoms get worse instead of better after 5–7 days

How we can help

The doctor will assess your symptoms over video, advise on rest, fluids and over-the-counter relief, and prescribe medication if needed (for example, antipyretics, antivirals for confirmed flu, or antibiotics for clear bacterial infections).
