These terms govern the use of the Six Medic website and the online and home-visit medical services we offer. By booking a consultation you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Six Medic is a private medical practice operated by doctors licensed by the Portuguese Medical Association (Ordem dos Médicos). All consultations are performed by EU-licensed physicians.
What we offer
Video consultations, online prescriptions where clinically appropriate, medical certificates, weight management (GLP-1) follow-up, travel medicine, general practice, anti-aging consultations, concierge medicine and home visits in selected areas of Portugal. Each service is described on its own page with the applicable price.
Limits of online care
Online consultations are not suited to medical emergencies, severe trauma, suspected stroke or heart attack, severe mental-health crises or any situation that requires physical examination, imaging or hospital care. In those cases call 112 (EU emergency number) or go to the nearest emergency department.
Booking, payment and cancellation
Payment is taken at booking via Stripe. If we cannot deliver the consultation (for example because the case is outside the scope of online care) we will issue a full refund. You can cancel or reschedule up to 2 hours before the appointment; later cancellations are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable.
Prescriptions and certificates
Prescriptions and certificates are issued only when clinically appropriate, at the doctor's sole discretion. Paying for a consultation does not entitle you to a specific prescription or document.
Medical responsibility
The treating physician is responsible for the medical act under their personal license. Six Medic carries professional liability insurance as required by Portuguese law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Lisbon, without prejudice to the consumer's right to use the Portuguese consumer ADR system (www.consumidor.gov.pt).
